T.J. Cloutier is a renowned poker player and has earned for himself great fame and fortune in this game. He has recently won 60 major tournaments world-wide. T.J. Cloutier was born in Albany in California, and attended the University of California, Berkeley. This was because he had got an athletic scholarship for American football and baseball and played in the Rose Bowl in 1959. However, he later dropped out because of financial hardship and went on to join his family business to help out.

The nuances of the game of poker were picked up by T.J. Cloutier when he was in the army. This was when he used to play football at Montreal Allouettes, but it was a knee injury that made him leave the team.
