Who are we?
Hi guys (and girls), welcome to the Team Narnia homepage. We're a young team of poker players from Eastern Europe, and we play in a weekly homegame
This web site is our home page, and a page on which we pay tribute to the best poker players in the world...
Sam Farha
Sam Farha is a famous poker player who was born in Lebanon in the year 1959 but now lives in Houston in Texas in the United States. He has 16 cashes to his credit and a total winnings of $2,807,500. He has got three first place finishes and 3 WSOP bracelets as well.
Sam Farha realized that he had a knack for playing poker early on in life and by the time he was a teenager he had made a whole lot of money already for himself by playing games such as pinball, pool and even something as mundane as the game of Pac-man. There was that day when he was lucky enough to have earned himself as much as $5,000 in the game of Pacman.
Sam Farha came to the United States in the year 1977 from Beirut and joined the University of Kansas from which he graduated and got himself a degree in Business Administration. At first, there was hardly any way that he saw himself becoming a full time poker player but as time went by and his wins began to increase against his friends, this possibility began to materialize and seem more of a reality than ever before. After a trip to Las Vegas and seeing all that was on offer there, Sam Farha decided to take the leap of faith and left his job to pursue his interest in the game. This was when he invested in the game and decided to take it up full time. Sam Farha's move paid off and he was not only able to earn himself a great deal of money but also be able to become the most recognized poker player on the circuit. He is reckoned amongst the most talented and versatile of poker players around.
The last win for Sammy Farhawas at the 41st World Series of Poker 2010 where he stood first and raked in the prize winning money of $488,237. This was in Jun 12, 2010. The nick name that he has got is Sammy and Mister Cool for the way that he conducts himself on the poker tables. He has already got three bracelets to his name.
Since the time that he quit his job in the year 1990 to take up poker full time and as a profession there has been no looking back for him. He has gone on from one win to another in the most effortless of ways.
One of the biggest of wins for Sam has been in the year 2003, the World Series of Poker main event. This is where he finished second to Chris Moneymaker and went on to earn himself $1,300,000. His poker games have always had a whole lot of wins and losses but at the end of it he has always been able to come out a winner. Sam Farha is writing a book called Luck, is not enough and there is a reality show and a video game as well.
