If you look at her and the kind of roles that she plays you will certainly not be able to fathom the kind of brain and mastery of skill that lies beneath it. The roles that she has are that of the typical dumb headed blonde who has the looks but not the brawn. However, if you were to see her at the poker table you would certainly never ever want to think that of her. She is the only Hollywood celebrity to have ever played and won the WSOP bracelet. God seems to have been really kind to her and has given her everything that she would need to make her life a successful one. She was nominated for the Oscars and is dating Phil Lark and is a great celebrity in her own right. Well, what more could a woman dream of?

The best thing about Jennifer Tilly is that she goes on to prove the stereotypical image wrong of a beautiful blonde not having the right kind of brain power. However, when you see her play poker you will realize how very smart and savvy she actually is.

The first win that came her way was in the year 2005; when she went on to win her very first WSOP bracelet. This won her $158,625 in the $1,000 Ladies' No-Limit Texas Hold'em event. She was pitted against 600 other players as her opponents and went on to win against them. Then in 2005, she won her third World Poker Tour Ladies Invitational Tournament.

Another surprising thing about her is that she didn't go out to become a top notch poker player but it just happened to her. She was born to a Chinese car salesman and a Caucasian mother who worked as a teacher. She was born and raised in Harbor City and then moved to Victoria in Canada with her mother and siblings after her parent's divorce.

Right since the time that she was a teenager, she had always dreamed of being an actor. She won several acting competitions and this reinforced her idea. However, the irony of it all was that it was ultimately her acting career that led her to the path of poker. One of her films roles got her interested in poker and then she started playing it at home with her friends. This was how the mastery of the poker skills started for her.

In 2003, she took part in competitive tournaments as she was already going out with Phil and he encouraged her to participate. Her 2005 win was all because of her boyfriend, Phil. When Jennifer Tilly won the WSOP she accredited her boyfriend of helping her win it and making it possible for her by teaching her all there was to poker.

The nick name that Jennifer Tilly has earned is the Unabombshell as she is the very first celebrity and a good looker at that to win the World Series. She was the most surprised of them all for certain.
