Erick Lindgren

Erick Lindgren was born in the year 1976 in Burney in California. He is an American professional player and has won several tournaments.

The very first really big tournament that he won was at Bellagio in the year 2002. He was on a winning spree at that time and after just another ten months he was able to come first in the World Poker Tour. After another six months he won the WPT PartyPoker Million III cruise and that made him earn a million dollar top prize.

Erick Lindgren is the author of a book called "World Poker Tour: Making the Final Table."

Erick Lindgren has been given the nick name E-dog. As a young boy he was raised in Burney which was a small town with just 3000 people living there. His family was small with three boys and his father had a tire shop in the town. All the boys were athletic and played all possible sports. Erick Lindgren played all kinds of games such as basketball, baseball and football and picked up his competitive streak out there. His dream was to become an ace basketball player and play in the big league however, he was not able to achieve that dream because of physical limitations.

That was when while he was at college he started visiting the Casino to play a game of poker. There he discovered the fun of poker and the kind of learning that could come his way. That is when he started working at the casino as a blackjack dealer and went on to learn more about Texas Hold'em.

That is when Erick Lindgren began to devote less time to school and found he spending more and more time on the poker tables and competing at small games. This is also when he realized the amount of money that he could earn for himself if he played right. He was at first afraid at what his parents would have to say about him playing poker almost full time and dropping out of school. But, as he began to show more and more prowess for the game, the word quickly spread about how very good Erick Lindgren was at the game.

He started to work at a casino and at the same time played online poker as well to be able to make enough money. After five years of this he finally moved to Las Vegas and struck it rich according to these awesome videos of Erick.
