Antonio Esfandiari

Antonio Esfandiari was born in 1978 in Tehran in Iran. He has earned for himself the nick name of The Magician for the proficiency with which he can handle the chip tricks. He is one professional poker player who has gone on to win himself the coveted bracelet and also have 13 money finishes to his name.

Antonio Esfandiari moved to the United States with his family when he was nine years old. He lived in San Jose in California and attended the Del Mar High School. By the time he was nineteen, there were two significant changes that came along in his life. He changed his name to Antonio influenced by the Mexican American community that he lived in and he decided to take up being a magician as a full time profession. Whilst he was working as a magician lady luck had other things in store for him and he was invited to play a game at Texas Hold'em. That is how Antonio Esfandiari tasted the first taste of playing poker games and there was no turning back for him afterwards.

Then in the year 2004, he went on to win almost as much as $1.4 million and fetched himself the very first World Poker Tour Title. Then, a few months later, lady luck once again shone on him when he went on to win the first bracelet at the World Series of Poker.

Antonio Esfandiari has been participating in several poker competitions and it is not always that he comes out a winner. However, what sets him apart from the other poker players is the tenacity with which he continues to take failures as well as success in his stride.

Antonio Esfandiari has earned himself a great amount of money in the game of poker and in the year 2010 it stood at $4,400,000. And this earning is only in the live tournaments that he has participated in.

Antonio Esfandiari has been seen in several television shows as well. He has starred with his best friend Phil Laak. Antonio Esfandiari continues to remain the face of the World Poker Tour's Poker-Made Millionaire.

The two things that Antonio Esfandiari is renowned for and looked up to is the skill and mastery of the poker game that he brings to the table every time that he plays at it (and the way he handles the poker chips). It is almost as though the game of poker runs in his vein as even his younger brother is an ace player. He was a good student throughout his schooling however, a tiff with his father had him leaving school and striking out on his own. As Antonio Esfandiari discovered that because of the falling economy not many people had the money to invest in magic shows and watching them, he shifted his interest to poker games and struck it really rich out there.

Antonio Esfandiari remains one of the youngest of poker players to have won the

World Poker Tour Championship. This was in the year 2004 and from then onwards there has only been a forward path for him.
